This session explores the importance of addressing accessibility & belonging in peer spaces and beyond. Through individual and group activities, participants will learn more about cultural humility and apply it to their work spaces. While developed for peers, others in helping professions will gain new knowledge and skills from this training.

Key Learning Objectives

  • Identify systems of power and oppression and their impacts on different groups and communities (social determinants of health).
  • Utilize cultural humility in their work as peer support workers.

Who Should Attend

  • Certified & non-certified peer support specialists
  • Recovery coaches
  • Individuals exploring peer or recovery coach career pathways
  • Early career direct support professionals, including: Community Health Workers (CHWs), case managers, life skills trainers, frontline support staff in behavioral health or community settings
  • Clinicians

Upon completion of the training, participants will receive a certificate for 2 continuing education credits and access to digital course resources/materials.
